A multi-layer casing with a primed face
DCPL-1 is made from plywood: layers of veneer glued with the grain crossing from layer to layer. The board is ripped into a face strip and a return strip, both are shaped and sanded on a moulder, and the strips are glued into an L. A gesso coat and a white primer give a smooth surface for the final paint.
Sections are 12 or 15 mm thick and 45, 60 or 70 mm wide (0.47 or 0.59 in by 1.77, 2.36 or 2.76 in), in 2000 or 2440 mm lengths or cut to your order. Moisture content is 8–12 % and the tolerance ±0.8 mm. We can also finish it with UV coating, CPL or PVC film.

Wood veneers are glued with the grain crossing from layer to layer and pressed into a plywood board.

The board is ripped into a face strip and a return strip, and a moulder shapes and sands both.

The return strip is glued to the edge of the face strip and pressed, making the L-shaped casing.

A thin gesso coat goes on through a die shaped like the section, over the face, the corner and the return.

The gesso is dried and sanded smooth along the whole length.

A white primer coat finishes the casing. It is ready for the final paint.
